Born and raised on the island, Puerto Rico is more than my birthplace. It is woven into every part of who I am.
The scent of tropical blooms carried by the breeze, the sound of coquíes singing at dusk, the warmth of family gatherings, and the resilience of our people continue to inspire everything I create. Although I now call Atlanta, Georgia home, my heart will always belong to Borinquen.

The journey began with a simple conversation among family. I remember saying, “Déjame intentar hacer una vela, a ver si me gusta.” Let me try making a candle and see if I like it. What I discovered was far more than a hobby. I fell completely in love with the process of creating, blending scents, designing products, and building a brand that reflected my heritage and values.
Soon after, life gifted me my greatest blessings: my three beautiful children, including twins. Becoming a mother transformed me in every way. Like many women, I found myself balancing career, family, and personal dreams while navigating the beautiful chaos of raising young children. There were moments when Las Palmas had to take a back seat, but the vision never left my heart.
Today, Las Palmas represents more than candles and soaps. It is a reflection of perseverance, faith, and the belief that women can honor their responsibilities while still pursuing their passions. Every product is created with intention and care, inspired by the colors, scents, and spirit of Puerto Rico.
Our candles are hand-poured in small batches using clean-burning coconut-soy wax, phthalate-free fragrances, and wooden wicks. Our soaps and home fragrances are thoughtfully crafted to bring comfort, nostalgia, and a sense of connection into everyday life.
As a Puerto Rican woman, mother, and entrepreneur, I hope Las Palmas serves as a reminder that our dreams do not expire. They may pause, evolve, and grow alongside us, but they are always worth pursuing.
