MINU JEWELS- Mina story
Mina Hassan
Founder of MINU JEWELS
-EGYPT-
What inspired you to start your brand?
What began as a simple hobby grew into something much bigger. I would design jewelry during visits to Egypt, wear the pieces back in the US, and people constantly stopped me to ask where they could buy them. Eventually, a showroom in New York City reached out and offered to market my designs — and that’s when everything truly took off.
How has your immigrant journey shaped your business?

Egypt offers endless inspiration — from its vibrant colors and rich textures to its distinctive styles that span both ethnic traditions and ancient heritage.
What challenges did you face building your brand?
Our style was very different than mainstream jewelry styles/trends so didn't sell as quickly.
What are you most proud of?
We’ve been in business since 2008, and thanks to our loyal repeat customers, our jewelry is now carried at Macy’s, Belk, and boutiques around the world.
What makes your brand unique?
A global jewelry brand born from Egyptian heritage, personal artistry, and the authentic demand of women who want meaningful, beautiful pieces.
What does being part of FEMMENAS mean to you?
We’re thrilled to be part of Femmenas — a celebration of how immigrants enrich our communities with their beautiful cultural artistry while uplifting and supporting women.
