A shoal of off-white sardines moving across Mediterranean Blue. Use it as a placemat or as a charger under the dinner plate, and once lunch is cleared leave it on the table, the shoal still moving across each place.
The sardine is a shoal rather than a single fish, so the placemat has rhythm before anything is set on it. On the blue ground the silhouettes read crisp and graphic, a good base for white plates and a long seafood lunch.
Each placemat is built on a structured core with a removable embroidered linen cover. The elastic edge holds the cover flat and lets you lift it off to wash on its own.
